The shoulder strap brackets are made of laser cut and precision bent aluminum for strength and rigidity. The brackets are split to allow for the webbing to be routed but this feature also ensures a secure fit. Because the brackets slightly compress when inserted in the slots below the bucket handle and expand for better retention.
The brackets also include two holes and a length of 1/8" bungee cord for extra security when using carabiner/clips to connect to the shoulder strap. This feature can be used with webbing too but must be installed after webbing is routed.
